Hula`s in Escalon

During our road trip we called in here and it was superb !Really nice waitress and the food was off the scale. I had her chicken fried steak with hash browns, 2 eggs ( over easy ) and a gravy. My wife had scrambled eggs & bacon. Both dishes were delicious but the chicken fried steak was the winner. It's an old style diner with memorabilia on the walls etc and very comfortable, we felt very welcome and would definitely return so no hesitation in recommending

The burgers we're juicy, though a bit sloppy, the fries were crisp, and the pineapple shake was delicious on a very hot day. It was or first time so the ordering system was a bit confusing but one of the servers said they were training a lot of new people. They got us on the right track and it was excellent.

Nice little Burger Stand or whatever else you want for a nice bite while on the lunch break. The staff was nice and they even gave us ice cream after our meal! Mmmmmhhhmmm

The service was decent. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Atmosphere was hustley bustly, with a good vibe. Outside dining, due to "The Rona", was good. Enjoyed the experience. They do have beer and wine. Have always heard great things about Hula's, now I can say yes, the food is absolutely top notch. We will be back.

Food is either acceptable or amazing. Really depends on who is working the kitchen. I love their malts, but the last 3 times I've ordered a malted shake, it definitely was not malted.Edit - Per advice from the restaurant, I will be ordering my next shake with "extra malt". Rating amended from 3* to 4*, since it's possible I'm just picky.

2 stars for the service, but I'd give the food 5 stars. I went through the drive through for breakfast and it took over 30 minutes to get my food. I was not told it would take so long so I ended up being late for an appointment.

Great food and great outdoor patio with misters...can park close so you can keep an eye on your car.
